What we thought of it: Popular with a lot of tourists, and a whole lot of locals too, Leopold Café is practically a landmark by itself, having seen more than a hundred and thirty years of existence. Leopold Café is actually two places with very different personalities; downstairs is a large, airy café with no doors, while upstairs is a smaller pub that opens at 1 p.m. Regardless of where you choose to sit, the café has an air of its own, the perfect place to catch up with friends, or even with yourself. Beer lovers and meat eaters will particularly enjoy the variety of beers and the delicious, well-priced food. Perhaps the greatest appeal of Leopold Café is that for all its years, it hasn't changed at all, and doesn't need to either. At a time when restaurants and cafés appear and disappear often, this is a welcome change.
Leo's go get drunk and reach heavenly glory A place to be have vodka and beer and smell the salty sea breeze, a place to fall in love with a place to hate a place to get the best deals on overpriced items being sold there,a place to sit for hours imagining how life without it never exsit, how the beer taste better here more than any other place and how people are always smiling the road is always full, a place to light that last butt and leave the place with only ur footsteps heard aloud.
Best place to hang out in town! Be it the cafe downstairs or the pub upstairs.. Be it just to be with the tourists all around you. Leopold is the place to be. Reach here after a tiring walk of shopping in Colaba or even straight from home. The ambience and the place really is so warm and friendly. The alcohol and food is top notch and real value for money! The portions are really humongous... and the taste even better! There is plenty of choice for vegetarians as well as non-vegetarians. Chinese, Continental or Indian. Top top it all, the food is really tasty. Vegetarians can tuck into Paneer tikka, Paneer chilly or the Veg Pot rice. Non-vegetarians have a lot of choice - chicken, fish, lamb and beef. I can safely say, this place serves the best beef chilly that Mumbai has ever tasted... Afternoons can be spent here with a delicious lunch and a round of coffee. Evenings & nights hanging out with your group of friends...
Its Changed :( Was extremely disappointed with music played a Leo's the last time I visited. Food, drinks and ambiance still remain the same. Maybe it was just an off-day.
