MILANESE Italiano EFFECT
Author: Aahuti Mistry
Fashion is an integral part of one’s lifestyle and dressing, extending to your persona, how about talking about fashion’s very own Mecca?!? Yes, I am talking of Milan-the known place for fashion around the globe. Imagine the luxury of getting pampered on the streets where all the trends are born or are best adapted from. Milan enchants fashion through the streets of Via Montenapoleone, Via della Spiga and Via Sant'Andrea, adjacent to Via Manzoni, Via Borgospesso and Via Santo Spirito amongst the Fashion Quadrilatero (the main city centre).

The streets very well hosts shops of the best of the bests highly dedicated for the high-end consumer spur that needs quick gratification. And to warn you, it is not just about these exuberant showrooms filled with pricy brands but one will definitely be bowled over with the dressing of the localites of this classic town. Indeed you’d understand Fashion like never before.

The vintage streets are filled with the boutiques of jewellery that talks for its own creation, clothes that shimmer with price and brands, shoes making its way in the crowd and accessories you’d die for. All in one place you’d think, but trust me you’d take ages to even look around one street purely because it takes ages to admire every single creation you notice your way. Even if someone states that they aren’t a mad shopper, but they’ll fail reluctantly to the lure of Italian fashionista. I call it the Milanese effect; indeed extravagant shoppers promenade, bejeweled and dressed day-in and day-out.

Milan can boast of its high-end street energized shopping at the grandeur of Versace, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Valentino, Cartier, Prada, Salvatore Ferragamo, Chanel, Fendi, Kenzo, Moschino, Armani, Chopard, Bvlgari, D&G, Krizia, Sergio Rossi, Gianfranco Ferré and many more. Alternatively you will find some affordable brands just as you look around like H &M , Max Mara, Miss Sixty, Zara, Furla, Diesel, Benetton, Kookai amongst the many. The eye candy to me is the Interactive dressing rooms set up in Prada which gives the shoppers and the staff high end service just like its brand along with the dedicated Armani centre. Also for saving some bucks one must try the outlets just on the outskirts of Milan. I am sure it will be of great help to stack the elegance for long use.

Additional to the big names, Milan is also known for its interesting markets. Fiera di Senigallia is like a huge mall activity with a scenic view. Bright, cheery, colourful and just as noisy. It’s unbelievable and breath-taking to find the worlds crafts here. Ranging from South American to Indian, African to European you can get your hands on the various art pieces to your taste. The shoppers and the tourists adore is the hustle bustle and the scenic picture with the drum music in the background that you have always picturised when you think of Europe with the true rhythm of life. The next one is Mercatone del Naviglio Grande which is set up on the last Sunday of every month and known for the exhibits of antiques. It does not draw line to furniture, but old books, jewellery, vintage home stuff and just as anything that is old yet classic.

All in all Milan the fashion capital of the world does not limit itself to the names, and which is why it retains as a classic place in the world to shop till you drop and or enjoy the town in the true Italia no Classy lavish style.
