Top charts in Hindi and English music
Author: Rishabh Kachchhy
Source: www.billboard.com, www.indiafm.com
Starting this week we begin our new section on Top charts in Hindi and English music. We are no Billboard, but we’ll still promise to keep you updated on the latest in the music scene. You can stay tuned and updated with the latest in chartbusters across these categories.

‘Aasma-the sky is the limit’ is the new launch this week. The soundtrack is youthful and peppy but lacks the potential to become a big hit. Luck by Chance is our new entry on the charts with a promising soundtrack by the trio (Shankar Ehsaan and Loy). Ghajini and RNBDJ are still strong on the charts, beaten only by the popular soundtrack of Chandni Chowk to China. ‘Marjaani’is the only single worth a listen from the Billu Barber soundtrack. The rest of the soundtrack is strictly very boring. The Presleys from Patna have swung into the charts with their offbeat single in Dev D titled Emotional Attyachar. Look out for more from them as they’ve reportedly been signed on for plenty more soundtracks this year.

In international news, U2 has now released their track list for their forthcoming album. ‘No line on the Horizon.’ They plan to play their new single at the concert to be held in Britain later this month. The list of performers for the Grammy’s has also been released. As the competition is getting heated in 2008, with both new acts and old launching chart-topping albums last year, the Grammy’s are definitely something you just can’t miss.

One of the most awaited albums of the year, ‘Relapse’ from Eminem is poised to be launched by the beginning of Feb. A single from it titled ‘I Need A Relapse’, has already been leaked over the internet, without the featuring voices of Dr. Dre and 50 Cent, much to the dismay of the rapper.
