Nicolo Morea...
Author: Francesca Mascarenhas
Handsome, Charming, Talented Men always seem to be scarce in the city. Could that be reason enough for Nicolo Morea to come back to Bombay?

Nicolo born in Bangalore left India after completing High School and spent 15 years of his life in Europe where he developed his culinary skills working in hotels and restaurants. 3 years ago, he came to Bombay on a holiday and has been here ever since. Part owner of a restaurant in Berlin, Nic is also the proud owner of a café on Carter road known to most of you as ‘Crepe Station’.

It was at Crepe Station where I first met Nic, over a year ago. I still remember the café was closed for renovation and there was a board outside that read “CREPE STATION WILL BE CLOSED TODAY AS THE OWNERS HAVE GONE TO GOA WITH YOUR MONEY.” When in fact there was Nic looking more involved with the renovation than his workers.

NICOLO AND BOMBAY

A supposed holiday turned out to be a permanent stop for Nic and Bombay his new home. He knew Bombay with its diversity and versatility was where ideas take shape. And that is exactly what Crepe Station is, an idea that was transformed into reality. Bombay’s dynamic, vivacious and electrifying atmosphere was what attracted him most.
He loves that the people here have so many opportunities to grow, to learn, to evolve. He believes that it is the freedom that we have here that allows us to mould our future.

5 THINGS HE WOULD CHANGE ABOUT BOMBAY

1. Better roads
2. More sports facilities
3. Greener Bombay
4. Public water-transport(ferries from Worli to Bandra for instance)
5. Easier access to Restaurant Liscences (Ha Ha!)

FAVOURITE PLACES IN BOMBAY

1. For that special First Date: H2O-Watersport, A midnight boat ride.
2. Dinner: Henry Thams
3. Clubbing: Seijo and the Soul Dish
4. Boys Nite Out: Indigo
5. A quiet coffee: Bombay Baking Company at J.W.Marriot

IDEAL WEEKEND GETAWAY

WHAT IS YOUR IDEA OF FUN

Campfire with 6 single women

DO YOU BELIEVE IN THE ‘LADIES FIRST’ ATTITUDE AND WHY?

Yes, if you give a lady something she likes, then she has no reason to say No.

PERFECT PICNIC RECIPE

1 big cane basket
1 bottle of red wine
Cheese and Bread
1 Tandoori Chicken
1 Single woman
Her car
Her Chatai (Floor-mat)
She gives the massage (I’ll bring the oil)

NICOLO’S WISHLIST

1. To own a sailboat and sail across the world.
2. To own a house in Goa.
3. To travel in North India (Manali etc.)
4. To go Skydiving
5. [Censored]

This is what I know and love about Nic, he has a great sense of humour, is a fantastic charmer (you boys could definitely take a few tips) and has an excellent sense of style. He’s very very flirtatious, but no one’s complaining, he’s the nicest person to know. I hope you all have a chance to make his acquaintance. You know where to find him- Crepe Station will be happy to have you…
